We check the correct process for your make, model and year and confirm which functions are included in the job.

Remote, transponder or smart key?

Tell us whether you turn a key in the ignition or use a push-start button. A photograph of the existing key can help us identify the correct type.

If the key starts the vehicle but the buttons do not work, the issue may be a remote or repair fault rather than a need for a complete new key. We’ll advise from the information you provide.

Can I supply my own key?

Contact us before buying a key elsewhere. Compatibility, frequency, previous use and electronic condition can all affect whether a key can be programmed.

We cannot promise that a customer-supplied key will be suitable. We’ll explain any limitations and agree the work and price before starting.

What happens during the appointment?

Have your vehicle, available keys and ownership information ready. Appointment times vary by vehicle and security system; we’ll give you an estimate when we confirm the job.

We test the programmed key with the vehicle before finishing.
