Can you make a key if I’ve lost every key?
For many vehicles, yes. Send the registration and location so we can confirm coverage, the work required and the price before arranging a visit.
Do you come to me?
Yes. We provide a mobile service across Glasgow and the surrounding areas listed on our coverage page. Access and appointment availability are confirmed for your exact location.
Can you programme smart or proximity keys?
For supported vehicles, yes. The correct key and programming method depend on make, model and year. Tell us if your car uses push-button start.
Can you unlock my car without damaging it?
We use non-destructive methods wherever possible. We assess the vehicle and explain any limitations before work starts.
Do I need proof of ownership?
We may require photographic ID and proof that you own or are authorised to use the vehicle. If documents are locked inside, tell us when you contact us.
Can you remove a stolen key from the vehicle?
Electronic key deletion is possible for supported vehicles. It may stop the key from starting the car but does not necessarily stop a mechanical blade opening a door. We’ll explain the options for your vehicle.
How long does key programming take?
It varies with the vehicle, key type and security system. We’ll give an estimate after checking the job. Please have all available keys and the vehicle ready.
Is an auto locksmith cheaper than a main dealer?
Costs vary. A mobile locksmith may avoid recovery and a dealership visit, but the useful comparison is a quote for the same key and work. We confirm our price before attending.
Can I supply my own key?
Ask us before purchasing. Frequency, compatibility, previous use and condition can affect whether a key will work. We cannot guarantee that a customer-supplied key can be programmed.
What vehicles can you work on?
We cover a range of cars, vans and motorcycles. Coverage varies by make, model, year and the work required. Send your registration rather than assuming all models from a manufacturer are supported.
Can you repair my ignition?
Tell us the symptoms and your vehicle registration. Ignition problems are assessed and quoted individually. The key-repair starting price does not apply to ignition work.
What are your emergency charges?
Emergency call-outs carry a £60 surcharge. We confirm the total price and availability before attending.
Do I pay a deposit to book?
No booking deposit is required. Please provide accurate vehicle and contact details so we can confirm compatibility and the work.
Can I book when you’re closed?
Yes. You can view appointment availability online at any time. The status bar shows our next standard opening time when we’re closed. WhatsApp messages are answered when we’re available.
What if I need to change an appointment?
Use the change or cancellation options in your booking confirmation, or contact us as soon as you can so we can update the arrangement.
